Description
Andrew H. W. from Montral, Canada picked up his new Mercedes 300 SEL 6.3 in Stuttgart in 1970 as part of the then very popular "European Delivery Program" and enjoyed a short tour through Europe.
The first service in the checkbook, which was stamped at 610 miles in June 1970 by Daimler-Benz AG, car repair service, is evidence of this.
Our 6.3 was based in Canada until 2014, then came straight back to Germany.
The car has apparently not been subjected to much wear and tear throughout its life. The leather is completely original and simply gorgeous. The carpet also seems to be original to us. The interior still exudes its wonderful scent today!
According to the data card, the first engine installed by the factory is still installed today!
The original on-board folder has been preserved. It contains the (English) operating instructions, the spare parts catalog, the warranty booklet, an original data card and the original service booklet.
Various work carried out in Germany is documented in invoices. For example, the alternator was replaced in 2019. In the same year, both cylinder head gaskets, the oil seal, the speedometer cable and some hoses were replaced.
The injection pump was overhauled in 2018, the water pump was replaced in 2020, the fuel pump was sealed in the same year, etc.
A wonderful 300 SEL with the fantastic 6.3 liter V8 without any repair delays in the classic color combination tunis beige metallic (462) with dark brown leather (248).
