Description
This magnificent Mercedes 250 SE Cabriolet has been in the hands of its current owner since August 2012, who, to our delight, entrusted us with the sale of the car.
Numerous documents from this period exist that beautifully document how well the 111 was maintained. See details below.
Our client has taken many wonderful trips around Europe with this absolutely reliable car and now simply wants to downsize his collection.
The 250 SE was purchased from a well-known classic car dealer, who described the car's history as follows: "The vehicle was delivered to the Mercedes-Benz branch in New York in November 1966, where it was taken over by its new owner at the end of the year.
He owned the convertible until 1994. It was then re-imported to Germany and driven for another five years. At that time, the car was still in its original condition.
The Mercedes convertible was restored between 2003 and 2004."
Even today, it's clear that the work was truly excellent.
The paint is fantastic, the gaps are simply perfect, the leather is almost flawless, the wood is beautiful, and the soft top and carpet are flawless.
The handling immediately invites you to take it for a spin – we've rarely been able to offer such a well-driving Mercedes from the 111 series. The chassis is wonderfully tight, the steering is equally so, and the automatic transmission shifts brilliantly.
This Mercedes convertible is certainly an excellent choice for someone who wants to drive a truly good Mercedes SE convertible but doesn't want to splurge on the V8 right away.
