Description
On June 25, 1970, this very beautiful Mercedes-Benz 280 SE flat-bottomed coupé was registered in Munich to its first and only owner.
The landscaper W. H. evidently treated his coupe with great care. The original leather is still present in the interior today. The scent of this original leather is inimitable and absolutely captivating! The carpet and headliner could very well be original. The wood also appears to be untouched.
The air conditioning system was retrofitted in the past.
For about ten years, the 111 has been owned by a collector from Hamburg who invested a great deal of work, love, and money into this car. However, he never wanted to register it. Thus, the first-hand cardboard cover letter has been preserved to this day. A true highlight!
The cover page of a 1991 appraisal report has been preserved. It shows a mileage of 23,942 kilometers.
According to the existing data card, this coupe still has its original engine.
The Mercedes 280 SE 6-cylinder flat-cooled coupé is probably the rarest 111 coupé ever. However, we have not yet been able to obtain information from the manufacturer itself about the percentage of flat-cooled coupés in the total production of 3,797 Mercedes 280 SE coupés.
