Description
It's a rarity, and we're delighted to have one here again: a 560 SL in solid black (code 040), with black leather and a black soft top!
In the USA, the 560 was always owned by one owner, Edmund P. from Rhode Island, who later moved with the car to Tebennessee.
A special highlight is the small metal plate, which only the first owner of a Mercedes received from the dealer, on which the car's and owner's details were engraved. This small metal plate is still there!
Originally delivered new in the USA, the 107 has been in the hands of a Mercedes enthusiast from Hamburg for several years. He is now the second owner !
The owner had the car's appearance completely Europeanized, with headlights, taillights, bumpers, and the speedometer, which now displays and counts km/h instead of miles. The actual owner asked us to offer the car on his behalf.
This 560 SL drives wonderfully tight and powerfully. The paint has been expertly polished; the chrome, the convertible top, the wood, the leather, the carpet—everything is in exceptionally good, very well-maintained condition. We believe the interior and the convertible top are still original.
