Description
In February 2001, a company in Krefeld received this Mercedes SL 500 Final Edition as a new car.
After just around nine months, it was sold to Wolfgang W. from Bad Salzuflen via the Mercedes Krefeld branch with a mileage of 7,840 kilometers. The price was EUR 125,000.
Wolfgang W. kept the SL until 2021. That year, a Mercedes lover from Zülpich bought the SL. We were recently able to purchase the car from them.
This youngtimer connoisseur had a rust protection treatment with Dinitrol carried out on May 22, 2023. The technician's remark quoted verbatim in the service booklet: "New car condition, above average, condition like new".
More is not possible ...
A Mercedes R129 with the FINAL EDITION special equipment is quite rare. Only 674 examples were made. Of these, only 162 were equipped with the wonderful 5-liter V8. The vast majority of FINAL EDITION 129s had the colors Brilliant Black Metallic (318 units), followed by Silver Arrow (247 units).
In total, only seven FINAL EDITIONs were painted in the tanzanite blue metallic shown here, of which just three (!) were SL 500! This SL is certainly a highlight for the serious collector!
The condition is very original and excellent! The history is also wonderfully documented with various documents from the past of this Mercedes SL.
