Description
Our magnificent Mercedes 220 S Ponton Coupé was delivered in Düsseldorf in October 1957. The original owner kept the stylish coupé until February 1960.
The second owner—a housewife, also from Düsseldorf—drove this "Economic Miracle" era coupé until May 1967, subsequently passing it on to the third owner, who was also based in Düsseldorf.
The final owner acquired the car in 1970.
An extensive restoration was carried out between approximately 2014 and 2016 in Northern Germany by a Mercedes Ponton specialist.
Since its completion in 2016, the 220 S has remained in the restorer's collection and is now being offered for sale through us. The 220 S Coupé has not been registered for road use since the restoration was completed.
