Model History
From November 2008 there was a new SL 65 AMG Black Series top model, limited to 350 vehicles, which was only built as a coupé. It had a CFRP roof with a built-in roll bar, which was lighter and flatter than the roof on the other models. The C-pillar of the hardtop has been extended backwards for aerodynamic reasons. Except for the outer skin of the doors, every body part visible from the outside has been changed. The body received aprons adapted to the shape and widened fenders, and the exhaust tailpipes were new. A rear wing that extends twelve centimeters from 120 km/h and reduces lift on the rear axle improves road holding.
With an output of 493 kW (670 hp), the vehicle was the most powerful AMG model to date. It achieved a power-to-weight ratio of 2.79 kg/hp. It drew its power from a V12 biturbo engine with a newly developed intercooler. The maximum torque of 1200 Nm was limited to 1000 Nm. The AMG Speedshift Plus five-speed gearbox transferred the power to the rear axle.
The coilover suspension was also a novelty at AMG and enabled the suspension to be individually adjusted to the needs of the driver. He was supported by an ESP that could be switched to three levels (On, Sport, Off). The car's appearance was rounded off by painted AMG forged wheels measuring 9.5 × 19 inches with 265/35 R19 tires at the front and 11.5 × 20 inches with 325/30 R20 tires at the rear. The Sport Maxx GT tires were supplied by DTM partner Dunlop.

History of the vehicle:
This SL 65 Black Series was registered to Mercedes-Benz AG (then Daimler AG) in Stuttgart on September 24th, 2008 and was kept in their inventory until April 2011. It is particularly striking that this car received a colored leather interior in magenta/brown with colored stitching in the leather.
The assumption is that this car was specially equipped for a predetermined important customer.
All other vehicles were delivered with black and gray leather seats.
Daimler AG then gave the Black Series SL 65 AMG to the collection of a well-known French family, where it was occasionally driven with transfer and customs plates without further registration.
The sports car was then sold to an Irish collector in 2021 via Prestige Cars in Paris, who also did not apply for approval.
So this SL65 AMG Black Series still has the first German KFZ letter with the owner entry Daimler AG Stuttgart and a registered customs number plate for 2 months.
Description:
The body is in perfect original condition without repainting,
and the special interior also shows hardly any signs of wear.
(The sports bucket seats have a very high and firm cheek and so there is minimal abrasion there)
Technically, the car is at the best level as it was regularly serviced by Mercedes Benz and the last inspection was made in 11/2022 at an AMG Performance Center
