Model History
The 1600-2 was introduced in March 1966 at the Geneva Motor Show. His unofficial name tag "-2" was supposed to mark the 1600 just as BMW's new two-door, helping to distinguish it from the larger four-door sedan; on the vehicle itself, the model name was only "1600".
The completely open BMW 1600 Cabriolet (type BMW 114 C) was designed by Baur for BMW in Stuttgart and built there from the beginning of 1968 until the fall of 1971.
There were two convertible versions of the 02: a full convertible and a cabriolet with roll bar, also known as Targa
Description
One of 1662 built BMW 1600/02 full convertibles, in typical color combination of 70 years orange-red with upholstery and soft top in black.
This vehicle is in a very original condition, probably already repainted in the original color about 20 years ago.
The subfloor shows no welding and is in remarkably good original condition.
The engine, transmission and drive are also technically perfect, and the handling is wonderfully precise.
This cabriolet is of course H license plate removed.
Before handing over the TÜV and AU acceptance will be renewed.
